Memorial Centre NKGB/MGB/KGB Prison, Leistikowstrasse 1, Potsdam

The central exhibit is the NKGB/MGB/KGB prison itself. The entire interior of the building is evenly illuminated with cold, white light, making even the tiniest detail visible. Contemporary witnesses recall repression by the Soviet Union's military counterintelligence forces in films projected into the walls.
Outside the prison there are text panels detailing former prisoners' biographies. The prison and the surrounding area are thus devoted entirely to the former prisoners, their personal stories and individual experiences.
