In the Light of Amarna
Exhibition - Neues Museum, Museum Island Berlin
This special exhibition focuses on the bust of Nefertiti and the history of the Amarna period. The design concept aims to introduce and accompany visitors to the Amarna period. The incisive religious and cultural caesura of Akhenaten’s reign is symbolised by the “sun ray”, a triangular, ceiling-height light fixture with an integrated audio installation. This spatial staging symbolises the fracture of the Amarna period within Egypt’s history and the associated transition to a new phase.
