Conscious Hallucinations
Exhibition – German Film Museum, Frankfurt am Main
The unexpected, the conflicting and the illogical combine in filmic surrealism, a realm fluctuating between dream and reality. This spirit is translated into an exhibition environment consisting of film installations and supporting exhibits. The visitor moves feely and intuitively through the space and assembles their own narrative collage. The multi-screen Installation of the famous „Un Chien Andalou“ (Buñuel/Dalí,1929) is one of the exhibition highlights and makes the spatial dimensions of filmic surrealism physically tangible.
