Fassbinder NOW
Exhibition – Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin
The design concept for the ‘Fassbinder – NOW’ exhibition covers 900m2 of the Martin-Gropius-Bau museum. It presents the work and methods of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and shows their lasting contemporary relevance through works by top-calibre artists of today. Fassbinder’s sensuality and objectivity, his industry and serenity are expressed in the materiality and spatial expression of the exhibition. Films projected onto suspended screens, different lighting moods and the changing presentation style serve to lend the spaces a dynamic contrast.
